Thank you for you interest in Common Hearth Cohousing.
We are sad to announce that Common Hearth in its current form has come to an end.
The group became small, and after a heroic effort to reach out to new folks last year, we realized that we didn't have enough time and energy to carry things forward.
A huge thanks go out to those of you who contributed to the community's work. Thanks also to those who followed the community from the sidelines -- your interest helped us keep going as long as we did. We have learned a great deal about ourselves and about community, not to mention about real-estate development, marketing, meeting facilitation, finances, and consensus decision-making. More important, we have formed friendships and ties that will endure.
It's possible that Common Hearth will come alive again in a different form, possibly as a non-residential, social community. If that happens, we will contact our Interest List. In the meantime, we encourage you to look at the directory on Cohousing.org to find out about other Massachusetts cohousing communities.
